Pick-Your-Own Strawberries
Our Practices
We’re proud to grow no-spray strawberries without the use of plastic mulch.
This approach requires frequent mechanical cultivation to control weeds (vs. the use of herbicides or plastic mulch) and, even then, weeds are inevitable.
Our patch grows a little wild, and that’s a sign of a healthier ecosystem.
Picking Season
Strawberries are in season from early June through early July.
*No dogs in the strawberry fields, please, to avoid contamination of the ground level berries.
Picking Tips
Strawberries grow low to the ground, so you’ll have to crouch down to pick them.
Ripe strawberries are often too heavy for the plants to hold, so the best berries are often resting on the ground.
Lift up the leaves of the plant to find these berries hidden beneath.
To pick a strawberry, simply pinch the stem where it meets the berry, and lightly pull.
Price
Priced by the pound. There is no entry fee. You pay only for what you pick.
